Microgeneration
The microgeneration consists is a small-scale energy production near the consumption points. Microgeneration technologies include small scale wind turbines, solar panels, or fuel cells.
Microgeneration fits into a decentralized or distributed power generation system, it unburdens low voltage networks and allows consumers to become energy producers. We're talking about quantities of less than 100kW. The advantages are: lower visual impact, lower costs, greater efficiency, more sustainability…
In regard to the matter, the Ministry of Industry is trying to amend the Royal Decree of connection of “small renewable power facilities” that simplifies and limits the obstacles that Electrical Companies could pose about the connection of solar panels, making easier the installation of small wind turbines on the roofs or small plants that generate electricity from waste heat from heating systems.
