Energy Efficiency
Energy efficiency is the best alternative to contribute decisively to the optimal use of a scarce and expensive energy. Only through energy efficiency we can reduce consumption while maintaining the same services and benefits for our quality of life, protecting the environment, ensuring a better energy supply and promoting a sustainable behavior in their use. Of all the alternative technologies available to combat global pollutant emissions, Efficiency is not only the most relevant, but the closest one to our homes, our cars, our industries and our cities.
The promotion of R&D& i for energy efficiency and the expansion of new products and services that contribute to the optimization of our primary energy should be a priority, with further training, information dissemination and social awareness about the habits and tools to a much more responsible use of energy.
The optimized performance of LED lighting can reduce up to 80% on energy costs, while offering improved brightness and ensuring a shelf life (under normal conditions), of at least 13 years with a functionality of about 10 h/day.
Comparison of Mercury Lamps, Sodium and LED.
LED lights used 5-6 times less energy than conventional sodium vapor lamps and produce 3000 lumens. Its efficient power consumption allowing batteries to keep the lights burning for several hours.
